Turner Field

Turner Field, or the "Home of the Braves", opened in 1997. It was originally called Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium but was changed to be named after Ted Turner. The Construction of this field was over 209 million dollars. The Stadium fits 85,000 people. The field demensions are relatively normal. In left field, it is 335 ft., left center is 380 ft., center field is 401 ft., Right center is 390 ft., and Right field is 330 ft. The Stadium is pretty new and should be around for a long time.

Bobby Cox

Bobby Cox is one of thee most well known coaches of all time. He was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1941. He started coaching in the Major Leagues in 1968. He spent twenty five seasons managing the Braves (1978-1981, 1990-2010). Bobby has led the Braves to five Major league pennants and one World Series Victory. Since he's been a part of the Braves, he has won 2,421 games and has lost 1,942 games, which gives him a win-loss percentage of .555. Bobby Cox also holds the all time record for most ejections in a manager's career. He has been tossed out of games 154 times, which is almost as many games there are in a single season. Bobby Cox plays a significant role in the Braves Organization, and hopefully spends more years with the program.

Pitching Staff

Atlanta's pitching rotation is full of talent and accomplished pitchers. The Braves starting rotation is one of the best in the National League. Tim Hudson (out last season due to injury) will be a big addition to this years season. The Braves also have several very young starters. Tommy Hanson, Jair Jurrjens, Kenshin Kawakami, and Derek Lowe are all very skilled pitchers. The Closers and relief pitchers for the Braves has a couple of flaws but the addition of Billy Wagner will hopefully make a difference. Aside from the weakness in the bullpen, the Braves will be solid on the mound.
